A compreensão dos padrões e tendências da amamentação através de indicadores comparáveis ​​é essencial para planear e implementar políticas de saúde pública. O objetivo foi avaliar as tendências dos indicadores de aleitamento materno no Brasil de 1996 a 2019 e estimar a lacuna para atingir as metas da OMS/UNICEF 2030 em crianças menores de 5 anos.
